High Performance Computing (HPC)

The IT Center at RWTH Aachen University operates the High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster CLAIX to support German researchers, lecturers and industry partners.

This documentation provides detailed information about CLAIX, including technical specifications and user guides. If you are new to CLAIX, we recommend reading the following pages carefully. They cover the most important aspects of the HPC cluster and will help you get started.

Operating System on CLAIX

Rocky Linux is the Operating System running on the CLAIX system and it is therefore required to have good foundational knowledge about its file structure, command line, scripting, ssh among other aspects of Linux.

New to HPC?
